For a more sophisticated, daring, seductive, nighttime look use the centre shade, combined with the two bottom deeper shades. To create a natural, every day, daytime look use the centre shade, combined with the two lighter upper shades. You can easily achieve multiple looks depending on what trio is used. It’s a beauty wardrobe for every day, every occasion and for every woman.ĭior 5 Couleurs is based around the centre shade and essentially sets the tone for the look. These 5 playful combinations of Dior 5 Couleurs palettes are teamed up with a co-ordinating lipstick and nail polish to create 5 totally unique, trendy, fashion forward and chic looks. The Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette retail for $60.00 each and are available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Ave, Macy’s, Sephora and is focusing on 5 favourite colours this season in shades of red, grey, pink, black and blue. I used the blackened navy shade to line the top lash line and the mascara is Urban Decay Perversion. The blackened olive shade is smudged under the lower lash line with Bobbi Brown Sapphire Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner on the waterline. The eggplant shade is used in the crease and blended up. Using all of the shades dry I placed the navy metallic all over the lid leaving the inner corner open to apply the pearly white shade there as well as a highlight. In the eye look below I primed the lids with NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base. Pied-de-Poule is swatched wet below with no primer: These shades can be worn wet or dry, I found I got a decent enough intensity if I packed them on dry, but if you really want a bold and sexy look they do look fantastic if you dampen your brush before you apply. They are swatched below dry with no primer: I do wish that the rest of the shades were just as beautiful dry, but they got the job done regardless. The shining star of this palette is definitely that navy blue pearl. The five eyeshadow shades you get in Pied-de-Poule are a navy blue pearl (top left), pearly white (top right), blackened olive with fine golden shimmers (bottom right), deep eggplant with gold sparkle (bottom left), blackened navy matte (center). Fear not, you’re still getting the velveteen slip case. It’s definitely more sleek looking, but I do miss the old packaging. The packaging is essentially the same – a navy blue case with the silver lettering BUT without the holographic hidden CD that they used to have (see packaging of the past). Of course I told her why I kept asking and we laughed like crazy, because…mature. I don’t want to be crass and say it in this post, but I seriously thought she was saying something else. Like to the point when the MA said the name to me I said “Excuse me?” to her several times. I’m going to be honest when I say that I first looked at Pied-de-Poule because of the name. Two struck my fancy as must haves (because as much as I wanted to buying all 5 palettes just wasn’t happening) – Trafalgar #876 and today’s post of Pied-de-Poule #096. After skipping all of Dior Summer (I know, wtf Brooke) I dove fast and furious into the items that have launched for the Dior 5 Couleurs Fall 2014 Color Collection, in particular the 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes.
